Whilst not strictly on the thresd of the Classic Jets Meeting and not wanting to take anything away from that thread there have been some interesting points been raised!
1 Are there too many jet meets in the UK?
2 Does everybody find out about these jet meets?
3 What do we do to encourage other possible venues to arrange such a jet meet?
Dick does a fantastic job arranging a private jet meet at Abingdon several times a year but how much demand is there for other jet meets?
I as a previous chairman of the StAthan model club was in the position along with Mick Morrison of possibly offering a second jet meet each year,the point was discussed at AGM and we realised as hosts that you can put yourself out in time aswell as money to provide a facility for people to enjoy there hobby and nobody could turm up!
Is it time the organisers got together to povide these meets at the right times?
Id be interested in peoples thoughts as jet meet sites arent easy to come by .
