From my point of view I think there is an appetitie for another meeting but only if its placed in the right time on the calendar. By this, I mean if you look at the calendar, then from the nats weekend onwards it tends to get packed out. As an example we traditionally have nats, followed by RR Hucknall(cancelled this year), followed by St Athan and for the last two years, Coningsby and of course not forgetting classic jets. All these meetings happen within a 6-8 weeks period.

On the other hand, the earlier part of the year, may/June, tends to be quiet. I have always thought the bank holiday at the end of may would make a good weekend for a jet meet as you could make it a two days which would leave a day for everyone to do other things(family etc). This was also the reason why the Shakespear jet rally was originally place in may.

I have no idea what else is on in the modelling arena in May so if I have missed any dates then please forgive me.
