Respect, but don't fear lipos.

Invest in a very good charger or three that handle Lipo's and other types of batteries with adjustable parameters and built in safeguards.

Handled properly they are no more dangerous than that gallon container of flamable liquid called Nitro Fuel, you have sitting somewhere in your house.

And both of these are far less dangerous and explosive than gasoline.

Just be vigilant and take recommended precautions.
