Default RE: Brillelli 40GT and QQ 73" yak thread.

Hi Guy's,

I posted back in August on aerobobs closed thread that I was using the ZDZ40RV but couldn't fly till my servos came in. I only use Hitec HS5985MG (the new replacements for HS5945MG) and they came in at the end of September. Maiden flight was yesterday. Very pleased with the flight envelope of this model. Did everything it should. The ZDZ40RV is really over powered (is there such a thing) verticle snaps continued till it was a speck in the clouds! Floated without any tip stall or nasty suprises.

I did find you need alot of expo on aileron low rate. (Very twitchy near neutral). CofG right on the manual 3D button allowed positive and fast pitch control. Interesting I had to place a 3700 nimh subC RX pack just behind the rudder servo to get the CofG right. So much for battery shelf over the engine! I wouldn't have thought the ignition pack would have made that much difference mounted on the firewall side. I don't know the all up weight flying weight. My bathroom scales are inacurrate according to my wife! but I'm not bothered as the performance is spot on with oodles of power in reserve, infact full throttle is redundant unless you enjoy flying at 200mph!
