I broke down and bought another jet and am trying to figure out a way to make it turn quickly. My last foray into jets showed me that the cg needed to move forward. Recent postings are recommending a single tail fin. Here is my question if I wrap a penny(2.5g) in tape and put it in the battery box, do you think this will move the cg adequately? Tim
Thanks Ferndale, yeah the single tail fin mounted center helps for
tighter turns. Doesn't take much either.
As for nose weight, it seems every jet is different. I've bought three
and this last one doesn't need any nose weight at all while the first
jet I bought was very tail heavy.
I can't explain why a massed produced product has so many variations
in flight characteristics.
The only thing to do is just try small amounts of weight until the plane
flys the way you want it to.
