Default RE: Official HPI MT2 Thread

I do not hate them just do not like their RTR, which is all they make. Acutely I like them as I win so many races because they break and cannot make it to the A main. LOL if they made kits like they use to I would consider a Revo. But I just cannot see shelling out the money to buy a Revo RTR and then having to get rid of the radio system, engine and A arms then replace all of that to make a good truck. I buy very little RTR vehicles as you just end up with a much better vehicle from a kit and in the long run cost less. I do not like the RTR MT and if I were to get a new one the only one I would get is the SS and then I would sell the engine on ebay and get another engine. That is why I liked my MT when I got it so much as when I got it as it came with out radio and engine in a kit. My Savage was a kit but did come with the best big block HPI made to date. My Hyper 8 was kind of a kit and did not come with radio or engine.

Even if you ask Traxxas which I have they will tell you they cater mostly to people just getting in to the hobby and is why they do not make kits any more. Most people that get in to RC do not stay in it for very long so the biggest market is the beginners. They just do not care about the hard core RC people! There are other reasons but I have said enough or maybe too much.

This is just my opinion.
