If you notice the first conversion and the twin had simmetrical airfoils on the stabilizer, the incidences were, stab and engines thrust 0 deg., wing set at 1 1/2 positive deg., out thrust on engines were about 1 to 1 1/2 on left wing and 2 to 2 1/2 on right wing, the airplane flew perfectly with either engine out and at 1/2 power on the good engine, flaps is something that I always include in my airplanes and can benefit the single engine performance by creating more lift, if no more than 15 % deployment is used, more than that and it also creates a lot of drag, which you don't want at this time (or until you're on the threshold).
