RE: Bluejay Utter Chaos 60
I'm flying a recently built Bluejay Dirty Birdy 60. Not the same kit but similar.
The DB was a very nice kit and built easily. The only issue I had was that the plans showed the wing at the wrong incidence. Since the parts were accurately cut per the plans, I came out with the same wrong incidence. The incidence listed in the instructions and on the plans was correct but measurements of the plan itself was wrong. Easy enough to fix though. Adjusting the wing incidence was part of the instructions. But after making the adjustments, the wing dowel holes in the fuse former were in the wrong place. Again no big problem. I plugged them and redrilled.
The reason I say all this is to suggest that you to measure the plans to see if the wing incidence shown matches the number given. Measure from the reference line (top of fuse) to the center line of the leading edge and the wing trailing edge. The DB was supposed to have 1/32" but had lots more.
If every thing measures out correctly on the plans, build on! If it looks like there's an error, I'd suggest not drilling the dowel holes in the former until after adjusting the wing saddle.
This is just a nit but thought you might like to check for it before you build so you can adjust as needed.
The Utter Chaos is a great plane.
