Thanks all for your helpful advice. I'm going to look at all of those options, as well as looking around for a used setup, maybe from the classifieds area of this site, to see what I can find. I may just end up getting him a gift certificate, so he can go out with his friend and get whatever he feels he needs. In the meantime, I'm definitely buying him a simulator, so he can "fly" during the middle of our brutal MN winters!
