Have you mapped and calibrated your controller?
Also your controller may default to digital mode so you would have to switch it to analog mode, see your instructions

How to map FMS

Select Tools
Analog Control

Click the Mapping/Calibration button
Then click the Calibrate button
Cycle the sticks through a full rotation to calibrate the range
Click the Next button then with hands off the sticks click the Finish button.
Now move each stick to see which bars move up and down and alter the mapping table at the left to match the desired function for that stick.
My Logitech mapped as follows
Rudder 1
Elevator 4
Aleron 3
Throttle 2

Repeat this pattern for Tail, Nick, Roll and Pitch, these are used for the helicopter simulations.
