When using a JR buddy box the buddy box needs to have a charged battery in it.

Before buying a buddy box check with you LHS, many hobby shops will rent a buddy box for a small fee. They are running a promotion where you can receive a Airtronics or JR buddy box when you join the AMA. There a few restrictions so make sure you read the promotion offer to make sure you qualify.
