Today a couple of friends from work and I decided to take advantage of the holiday to commit some bashing. We gathered a mighty force of two Maxxes and my Savage. Tank after tank the Savage fought on valiantly while the Maxxes had a tailgate party. Staying out of the fray, having this and that tweaked and adjusted. The 8 port Hyper engines' roar undoubtedly had the Maxxes shaking in their boots. They just refused to come out and play. Especially after a 2.5 Maxx ventured out once and got smoked promptly.
Alas the mighty Savage fell like Achilles. After 4 hours of fun and 3/4 gal fuel, the clutchbell retaining screw parted company and retired the mighty champion.
But seriously. I am very happy with the way my Savage performs. I spent about 4 hours tearing it up before a malfunction. The one time I did not threadlock that darned screw it comes back to bite me.
This is not meant to put down the Maxx. While the Maxx guys had some issues, when the dust settled, everyone has had tons of fun.
