Hell... you meant it!
Hows the stiffness baby? Still there or did it get a bit floppy from all that hole making?
Im liking it so far, but whats next...?
I remember youre pretty bonkers in the nut from another forum, going back a bit though - keep it up! Only another 14.something oz to go!
A bit bonkers? Please elaborate. If you mean KRAZY with a "K" American then heck ya! LOL!
The stiffness is right where I want it now. It does flex more than stock with the holes. This helps the traction coming out of turns belive it or not and also helps in the bumps. The chassis gives more now than ever, and the stiffners are doing their part to keep it straight.
I ran this car at Revelation ALL night Tuesday night. Revelation is a MAJOR supercross style track so you guys know with HUGE ruts and big flying 20' long jumps. The car worked PERFECT from the get go. The engine gave me fits at first and it turned out I had a leak in my fuel tubing line. Changed that and boom back to normal!
I'm getting 7mins a tank out of the NX-26 matrix RTR engine with the full pull starter still attached and everything! This engine is GREAT for testing purposes as it is durable and long lasting! Runs really good at 280+ as well.
A guy came over to me in the pits at Revelation and I quote, "You were running 22.4 to 22.6 second lap times." I said, "well is that good?" His answer was, "That is the best on this layout yet young man. Good job." And he walked away into the abyss of the pit area! My wife heard him say this as did 10 to 15 other drivers that were near my pit. That made me smile and the ENTIRE day was a complete SUCSESS!
So I guess drilling holes and making your chassis light WORKS! The durability was still there, no bends or breaks even after 7 hours of running today. Tomorrow I tear her down, re-lube the diffs and the put fresh oils in the shocks, rebuild the clutch and the next time she runs will be the best of the west series at ARC on Friday and Saturday. Go figure, the factory was up in arms over me drilling extra holes in the chassis!!!!! LOL!!!!
