I know someone who learned on the small TM. It sure didn't look pretty after a while, but he learned. If you choose that plane to learn on, just make sure you fly it in calm wind conditions.

What I'm hinting at, is don't get too attached to the cute little plane.

The Slow Stick was my first RC Plane. Never flown a bipe, so can't comment any further.
