I have seen small pulleys 1/2" to 3/4" diameter at my local hardware store. They are sold to replace the rollers in patio screen doors. Not sure what size you need. Other places I have found them: inside cassette tapes, cassette players and for VCR drive pulleys. Cheap and effective!
