Default RE: Hanging Stuff From An RC Model Aircraft

ORIGINAL: IBrakeForNobody

Without giving away too many surprises, just for kicks, I was thinking about hanging something off of my plane while on display at the field and/or flying. I plan on hanging it from a Hangar 9 Ultra Stick .60, and I'm almost certain that it should not drastically affect how the plane flies. I know that pilots can tape streamers and things of the sort to foamies and whatnot, but what are the regulations agains hanging a relatively small object from a glow fuel aircraft? It will be well secured so it will probably have to be cut off or something in order for it to come off, so I know it won't fall off in flight and knock a golfer (we fly very close to a golf course, as well as within 3 miles of an active airport) in the head. Going off on a tangent, we actually fly in the traffic pattern for runway 19 at KPRB, where most single engine aircraft do their downwind leg. Also, I've heard of myths at the field where a bad golfer shot a golfball into the wing of a .40 size airplane and punched a hole in the covering, and the ball was also found inside the wing when the plane landed. [X(] Thanks for your help.
Man all this tuff sounds pretty dangerous and is probably a detriment to the hobby in general. I think you should get STL on the job as he is an official AMA liaison and will get a clarification via email sent to Amy responded to by Carl M. That golf ball thing is especially worrisome. I would suggest you guys quite flying immediately until STL can make his determinations.
