I am in the market to update my old Mac and would like to be able to run AFPD (I am currently running it on a Windows machine). It sounds like you have both been able to run it on your new Macs, and I am wondering exactly what machines (and video cards) you have. The video card makes a big difference, and the various Macs come with a wide range of cards. The top-of-the line Mac Pro comes with at least a NVIDIA GeForce 7300 GT with 256MB of RAM. The 2 Ghz Core Duo iMac comes with a ATI Radeon X1600 with 128MB of RAM.
I am considering a 1.66 Ghz Core Duo Mac Mini, which comes with a Intel GMA 950 graphics processor with 64MB of RAM (shared with main memory). Does anyone know if this combination will work OK?

Hi Dan:
I have the MacPro with the 7300 card. The low end iMac with the GMA graphics is NOT going to cut it. You need to bump up at least one model to the version that comes with the seperate ATI Radeon X1600 card. I don't think there's much gained between the 128MB and 256MB cards, but you DO want the seperate video card. The GMA graphics is fine for business apps. and 2D games, but it's not going to work well at all with the 3D stuff.
