Default RE: gas engine newbie need help

ORIGINAL: unclecrash

What was he doing putting using a lighter as a flashlight to check an empty tank. I was just simply stating how I unflood my engines. Ya the pro got him real far the other day. Like the firefighter said playing with gas engines is dangerous so is filling your car with gas I read stories all the time of people blowing up from static electricity but that dont mean I going to go through life worrying about it. Like I say been messing with gas products 35 years or better never burned up yet. Knock on wood. LOL matbe I should throw all my gas products in the trash and go back to the old school way spool mowers and a cicle for my whip[]

I never said that playing with gas engines is dangerous, but I think the advice you are sharing here is down right dangerous and ingnorant. No one should ever try to use a lighter to burn the unburned fuel out of a cylinder. I don't want to bash, but your posts are getting from bad to worse.....I hate to see anybody get hurt trying out your ideas. Quit while you are behind.
