naa it comes with a battery holder but the only thing u need to buy is 12 AA batteries. 8 for the transmitter and 4 for the truck
Aha, cheers. Question: Does the 18SS require less battery power in that case? (and if so, why?) The MT2 RTR comes with one of those large batteries from what I can tell.
