Default RE: saito 100 assembly question

I was looking at a 182 that is disassembled beside me and the dot definitely goes towards the front on this engine. The side with the dot has the chamfer in it.

Edit
Zombie, Whoever wrote that piece in your club news letter was better with writing articles than they were assembling Saito's. You can see right in the second picture where he has assembled the connecting rod on the crankshaft backwards.

In these pictures you can see the chamfer in the crank end of the rod and this goes towards the crankshaft. He shows it reversed in the second assembly picture. The difference in the thickness of the wrist pin boss of three different 91 pistons I measured was not more than .004mm which is .0015". It would take digital calipers to measure this difference?

On this rod, in the pictures, the dot definitely goes towards the front
