Default Excitement in Indianapolis

"I am completely frustrated with the complete lack of racing venues. ...... The only decent indoor on-road track (HobbyTown) closed to make room for a bigger retail sales floor. And as we all know, everything is OVERPRICED!!! ......"

Floor space probably costs the store owner $1.00 square foot per month or more. For example, a nice 75' by 50' indoor track contains 3,750 square feet and costs about $3,700 per month to lease.

If the track owner's customers won't pay the high prices he has to charge for his goods, then his track will have to go away.

Nearly everything in a hobby store that is not RC has about three times more profit than RC. The profit produced by six $14.00 plastic model kits is about the same as the profit from one $250 RC car. You just have to ask youself.... why is this guy in business?
