Prop for LT-40 with .56 Saito
I finally got a chance to put the maiden on my son's LT40 today. It flew great and had plenty of power but with no wind to help it really floated on landings. The .56 Saito is new but has 40 min of break in plus two flights on it but the idle is pretty low. I am using a 12x6 APC on it now. I know Kadets are know as floaters and it didn't surprise me but I think a different prop might be better. Its no problem at the field we were at today but one of the places we go is a little tighter and I would like to try a different prop to add a little more drag and get rid of the excess idle thrust. I know from flying 3D planes that a 4 inch pitch prop really helps. Would a 12x4 be too small? How about a 13 X4? I have the clearence for it. Let me know what you all think.
