Hello everyone
I am just getting my feet into pattern flying, and although I tried to fish for lots of information on the net, I still have some questions.
How many levels of competition is there? only 4?
Does a championship require a pilot to fly all levels, or is there a championship for each level?
Where can I find the program for each level, and does it really change every year?
Can I find a video or some graphical illustrations to learn the sequence of manoeuvers?
Since I just want to practice correct pattern flying, and I've never seen a competition and I am far from joining one, how shall I setup the field?
What is usually required for a competition?
I hope you have time to answer all my questions.
Thank you
Fadi
Fadi,
If you will go to the NSRCA District 7 website (
www.nsrca.org/d7 ) and go to the bottom of the first page, there are some videos of actual flights as well as videos from simulators showing various maneuvers and examples of what to do as well as what not to do.
Our webmaster, Scott Covey, has spent a lot of time putting those together to help people see what a correct and incorrect maneuver looks like in the air.
Good luck
Don Atwood
