Hmmmm... I don't mean to come off sounding like a d!ck. Please don't take this the wrong way

A few posts up I already gave faxman the repair and tune link to the clutch spring relplacement and a link to better MIP springs, letting him know that he will have to buy the shoes as well if he gets a Traxxas spring, which is a waste of money cuz you can't use them on a Redcat. I recently put one on my Volcano SV and it works great.

faxman, the hardest part about the spring is connecting the ends without it coming apart. What I did was twisted them together and they stayed put nicely. When you roll the spring over the shoes into the groove, make sure the part where the spring connects is situated in the middle of a shoe where it's flat and smooth. You don't want it anywhere near a joint or a moving part, as it will work it's way loose or snap...
