G2 Limitations
If you are using the standard controller, rather than the USB controller, make sure that "polling with interrupts" is disabled under Gaming Options in Windows Control Panel. If this is enabled, you will get a "glitch" on all surfaces at a regular interval....very annoying...(ask me how I know<G>)
As for the floating, make a copy of the plane you want to fly, then increase the frontal area, weight, change airfoils etc. until it flies like you want. Work on frontal area first,. On many planes, this is all that is required to provide proper drag "feel" and realistic landings.
I have found that none of the planes really flies as realistically as I would like "out of the box" (30+ yrs in rc...definite opinions on how a plane should fly!) A very realistic plane CAN be "built" with a little time and effort, however. The same is true of the helis. G2 really is a great program, it just takes a little time to edit the planes.
