Jim you are correct , looks to be a very sweet plane .
As far the manufactures putting there names on boxes they will , but you have to have the cash!!!

If you design your own , or want to launch your own its 200 plane min , sometimes tooling cost , total LC upfront .
I know very littel about the industry from what I can learn from my import guys (we import candy )
CMP orginally made the planes for Kyosho , Evergreen makes most of the CMP copies , Willshobbies has there own and many copies .
CMP orginally distributed exclusivly thru "Giant Scale Planes in Cooperberg Pa " Apparently the owners rep evnetly forced him to lose exclusivity .However the owner of GSP did design many of the better CMP planes that were coverd in cloth and painted .The new Zero being sold by "Ultra Rc " was designed by The GSP owner and made in the CMP factory .They did not sell many because regardless of waht we think the main target market is warbirds from 68"to 73" . ANything larger is considered a specilaity market because of engine , servos , and redundency needed thry the planes .
Everygreen makes most of the copies that you see on cmp and some is real junk .They were selling a really big spitfire on ebay -total [:@]I did not but it but did see the complaints of those who did .
Evergreen also makes many of the non CMP hellcats that you see bashed on RCU .The most famous bash done by Luke & Hal H , was not a CMP plane but a generic Evergreen purchased on ebay - I got one for $69 plus $45 shipping . I cant buy wood that cheap lol .
Willshobby is another big one with there own designs and many copies .They have copies the CMP P40 , Hellcat and Spit .They aslo copies the Top Flight Seafury , so much so that you get Top Flight Decals with your ARF

. I have one and I have nver seen a better fiberglass fuse on a ARF . I am bashing the flaps to slipt and mine was not retract reday as the ad stated so that was a major bash . Based on my complaints and (trust me I did ) the new ones have rails in place for retracts .
Wills is planning on all composite planes withen two years .
Do a google search on wwwwillshobbies , you will see there planes , look like CMP with a few details left out like "P40 dont have camo scheme on the bottom wings lol , and they dont have gear doors like P51 but hey they must have thouht they looked good
I dont know if there is confusion started on my part but Nitri /Raidentech is not a brand , there just a distributor that has about 12 ebay names .
The differance between them and Giant scale planes is that GSP was owned by a moderler who actually designed planes and helis . Many people do not care for the owner of GSP but that is another story . I have never had problems with the shop because I dont need shipping , I just go pick them up .
Keep us posted on the Me109 , curious to see the quality
Thanks
