Hmmmm....well as for the idling.....you can take off the carb filter so you can look inside the barrel of the carb to see how open it is....do this with your radio turned on so your servos are set in the neutral position...and be sure that the throttle trim setting on your radio is set to the neutral position. Once you know that it is....look and see if your cab is open a little? 1mm or so....or if it's beyond that....then adjust the idle screw to bring it back to 1mm setting.
Also...have you tried the fuel line pinch test? With the engine warmed up....after several runs....stop your rig....and then pinch the fuel line (going to the carb) and see how long it takes for the engine to die. It should run for about 5 seconds....at the most. If it dies quickly....then the low speed needle is set to lean....you'll need to turn it counterclockwise....about 1/8 inch. Do this procedure until your engine finally dies at or around the 5 second mark. REMEMBER....Once you make an adjustment to the low speed needle...you'll need to make several high speed passes to help clear out any fuel that may cause an inaccurate reading. Of course....your doing all of this now because your past the break in procedure....not while your still breaking in the engine.
The factory high speed needle setting is set at 4 turns out.....that is what you should be making your adjustments to while your trying to help the engine perform a little better (leaner)....but be careful.....only small turns on the needle (1/8 turns) as you do this.....then run a few high speed passes and check the engine performance again.
Gee....did I forget anything?
