Question about engine flooding when starting
forcelite, My buddy just got a 2.5 T-Maxx and we broke it in yesterday. He was having the same problem. I noticed that after fueling the tank, when he closed the lid, it would pressurize the tank, forcing fuel in to the engine and it would flood. I think the fix might be to loosen the o-ring on the lid just a tad so that it doesn't pressurize the tank so much. He dealt with it by re-fueling with the engine running, but it still loads up when he closes the lid. You can hear the engine starting to load. So then he would gun the throttle to blow out the crankcase and it would run fine. Hope this helps.
