Jim,

There a couple of ways to "derive" the tip airfoil. For me, the easiest way is to first copy the root rib airfoil shape. You must be careful to make certain exactly what is shown on the plans. IT USUALLY is the airfoil AT THE WING/SIDE OF THE FUSELAGE. If this is the case you then have to measure the distance from LE to TE AT THE WING ROOT and the distance for LE TO TE AT THE WING TIP. Then you bring up your original scan from the side view/fuselage in the TILEPRINT software program. TILEPRINT allows you to scale up/down anything just by drawing a line and giving it a KNOWN DISTANCE. You print out the first one given the root distance and the second one given the tip distance. Instantly you have the root and tip templates. Same procedure is used for the stab.

Tile print supports the follwing formats: Bitmaps (*.bmp;*.dib), GIF Images (*.gif), JPEG Images (*.jpg;*.jpeg), Metafiles (*.wmf;*.emf) and Icons(*.ico;*.cur). Tileprint was written by a fellow RCU member who usually is in the 1/2A forum areas... Great guy.. this software has saved me HOURS and really makes it easy to make wing templates/ and ribs

You can download it from at http://donatelli.net/downloads/ tileprint .zip

Hope this helps. Good luck with your project... I've got to order the Canopy.....
