OK one last post, I personally like the gear mounted in front of the wing, I don't like fixing broken ribs caused by less than perfect landings.
Break out the 220 grit sand paper and prep that metal gear, then paint it (Rustoleum will do nicely and if you are worried about matching colors go with black), while you are at it paint the wheel hubs the same color too unless you picked black.
