Here we go again---PLATNUM was mixed in the wire of a glow plug for longevity and oxidizes less when mixed in the wire. The very first glow plugs didn't have a speck of platnum and worked fine but were shorter in life span. The price of some glow plugs reflect the amount of platnum in the metalergy............
