I couldn't find out anything about the motor. Astroflight doesn't make them anymore, they do have the bigger brushed motors though. It seems to be that they are more focused on the brushless motors. If memory serves me right, I think that the motor that is in the boat will pull a fail amount of current. It's possible that you fried the ESC pulling more than 10 amps. Do you remember if the ESC or motor was hot when you got it back in.
