Default here is a few of the mods I made.

First off I do not want to mislead you Its not what I did to make it light its what i didnt do I added no additional weight to this plane such as wpants, pilot, smoke, ignition.IMO it is already a very light air frame. Now i know some will completely strip this plane down and really lightned it up thats OK too but i am not quite to that point yet. :stupid: Any way here we go

All hardware was replaced except tail wheel bracket as i thougt it woud be lighter than any other i could purchase however i did put a sullivan wheel on it. All control horns are rocket city they are very easy to install unlike the sullivan horns that come with the kit AMOF installing the sull horns was the biggest pain in the a** you may as well take a screwdriver and a drill and start jabbing your plane with it. I do not recommend them, get the rocket city horns drill one hole firm it up with a little thin CA install your control horns your done. All CA type hinges were put aside for my smaller projects, Dubro bullet hinges were installed on all moving surfaces.I did not want to add another servo for the elevator so i installed a bellcrank assembly and a carbon fiber push rod for elevator deflection. I did run into a problem though I could not get the recommended 3d throughs/throws? untill I modified the bellcrank control horns to be about a 1/2 in longer works good now.Next I scrapped the original aluminium landing gear it was not very good gear imo so orderd a set of carbon fiber gear from troybuilt and it seem to be superior in every way. Now the pull pull that comes in the kit is not up to par imo so I put the dubro 4/40 pull-pull kit on it. Actually i have read of the kit pull-pull failing in flight. All the screws for the hatch and cowl were replaced with the smallest nylon bolts and blind nuts i could find at the local hardware. The metal ones kept vibrating out and be lost. i also like the extra big flat screw head on the nylon ones they catch alot of surface. When you install the cowl on the bottom blindnut and bolt you will need to go in from the edge of the cowl an additionl 1/4 to 1/2 before you drill or you will hit the tri stock reinforcement in the fuse tank compartment and the blind nut will not go in. OK as soon as i get my pictures developed on a disk(ithink you can so this) and i figure out how to post them i will post and explain further, I did som e beefing up in the fuse
but i need the pictures to show.

Steve
