It seemed to start and run great for the 1st day I had it. It would then run once and a while. I sat out on the flying field trying for hours with not a fire. I checked everything. Then I was able to get it started with my Sullivan torque prop spinner that could barley turn it over, \I mean maybe twice before it started to over heat the motor. Then it ran great on the flying field. Then the next day.. same crap.. no running engine. Once in a while it would fire and spin and then stop... My situation is similar to the other member with his engine problems.... I checked everything. The way I see it, no engine should need a electric starter applied to get it started unless it is something wrong with it! I even got a gear reducted megatron and spun the crap out of it with a new spark plug with correct gap and no deal. I just gave up and sent into horrizon last week and they can deal with it.... I have a new fuji 64 with a magneto and it starts on 2nd flip every time and runs fantastic.... never any kickback and runs until I shut it off!! That will go into my topflite giant mustang....
I just don't have the energy to spend a nother 12 hours working on that engine ..... I do appreciate the willingness to help... I will give you a update when the engine is returned and they tell me why it didn't run/..... I remember someone else with the same problem with there evo 26 doing the same thing as mine on one of the forums.... I am not sure what he did with his.. These are great engines and are designed to run forever, I somehow got a lemon.... I wish that horrizon would just send me a new engine but I know that will not happen....
