Default RE: Top Flite Staggerwing

Copterviews,
I too am interested in this combo. The Staggerwing is on it's way to my, and I also was looking at the 26GT, I think the 35 might be too much. If possible, when you get yours, could you measure from the prop drive washer to the back of the motor? The Evo website and manual doesn't give that dimension. I have another project waiting for motors and I think these will fit. Thanks very much.

Russ,

The info I was given by Horizon was that from the prop drive washer to rear of engine is 4.5". And the dimension from the centerline of the prop drive shaft to the top of the spark plug cap is 5". This package would fit pretty cleanly. They are quoting 3 HP at 9000 so that should be ample power. I've looked at this also but still thinking of the Saito FA-170R radial. This bird is just begging for a radial. This motor might be on the bottom of the power curve but with the right propI think it would fly it fine at the scale speeds for the airplane.

Good Luck.
