Default RE: Charged battery question?

On nicad's and nimah's it is possable to give the batteries a final or top off charge and it's susposed to give them a bit more power and runtime. I believe that that improvement has something to do with how heat affects the charging curve and that after the cool they will take a more full charge if they're peaked. I also believe that peaking a battery is not the absolute best thing that you can do for your batteries.
I'm too new to lipos to know if peaking them is good, bad or even advisable.
As for charging lipos, if your tired of 1 1/2 - 2 hour charge times then invest in a good lipo charger. Something with an adjustable charge rate. Something that will charge at (or closer to) the rating of the pack (also known as 1C), in this case 800ma. The stock charger is only 650ma and will take an hour and a half. If your's is taking much longer than that then one of two things is happening. Either your charger is putting out less than 650ma (not a bad thing, it will just take longer to charge) or you're discharging your battery too low - and that is a VERY bad thing. No matter which route you go you will never get charging times much less than 1 hour for a fully discharged battery. It's just not safe to charge a lipo battery any faster than that.
