maybe if you increase the size of the canard wing, and put it at a higher angle of attack with some dihedral, it'll maintain altitude in the turns. maybe even just putting it out further on the nose - bummer she's already painted!

That would help but I'm putting it in the hangar for now. The last flight
it nose dived into the snow and the RX got wet. The motors started to
run on half speed and the TX had no effect to shut her down. Had to
shut it off at the RX switch. After drying out it works fine again but it's
not worth the hassle right now.
I think I'll work on something else.
