Default RE: Painting to make it look like Carbon Fiber

Painting Carbon Fiber is probably the easiest thing to do when painting a body. Here is a step by step instructional. You will need shelf liner available at your local supermarket, Fasblack and Faspearl Charcoal.

1. Lay the liner over the body making sure it is tightly pressed to the body. This is easy on flat parts but gets a little tricky on curved parts. Make sure it is lined up with the edges so it looks straight.

2. Spray Fasblack over the liner EVENLY making sure the liner does not move. Usually you apply thin even coats but this is one time where I would make an exception and try to cover completely in one coat. Once you remove the liner you do not want to have to try to line it up again to apply a second coat.

3. After the Fasblack has dried you can spray the Faspearl Charcoal completely covering the rest of the unpainted area. Apply two or three even coats or until completely covered.

I have found that these colors give the best Carbon fiber effect.

Good luck and have fun painting.
