RE: Zeroli P51 Build
Hey Wade
I just printed out those pics of your Sierra retract install because I have the same. I installed(not glued yet) a landing gear plate which runs 100% parallel to both the leading edge and 1/4" wing braces in the center (kind of like on the plan), which makes the retracts and struts sit 100% parallel also. First I thought that was a good thing...now I'm wondering maybe not?
Do you need the struts and retract to run downward at an angle towards the center of the wing so the strut pant fairings sit flush to the skin of the wing? I never done these types of retracts before and since it's a modification to the planned Robart retracts...maybe I'm missing something here? If so, what is that angle....it seems maybe the retract mount needs to 1/8-1/4 higher on the outer sides closer to the wing tip?
.
Any help or pictures would appreciated becaue it's one of those situations where you can't really turn back.
thanks
Matt
