Default RE: Edge540 26cc

I can say this honestly about the 26 and the peak edge. What really convince me to buy the combo with the 26was a plane that I once owned that now has a 26 on it. It was a powerline edge which has a really small wing area and my friend put the 26 on it, because I was done with the rock and basicly gave him the plane. It flew the powerline edge better than it had ever flew before, and when I owned it I used a super tigre 2300, US 25cc gas, and a 150 saito. Now, my next statement are IMO. The edge is fairly light. I flew mine today in some pretty bad wind. I just made a few rounds and tried some moves and landed. I really did not get a chance to check her out at all, but I could see that I may need to change props to a 16x8. The 26 is a good engine and for the most part what is stated about it is true. Yes, the power is there, but it is not overly powered. I am one of those people that love the extra power, so if I wanted to do all out 3D I would go with the 40. Yes, I think the 11oz will add alot more Power VS. weight. If I where just wanting to do some moves and have a smooth flying bird I would go with the 26. It will hover with the 26 with some left as far as I could tell. It was a only a couple of tries in wind and the throttle advance was way off, so I will have to twick a bit. Hopes this helps and I will give her a real chcek out as soon as the weather lets me.
