Bax can probably answer this better than I can, but my guess is that they killed the kit BECAUSE they were now producing the ARF.

There are lots of kits being taken off of the market these days. So I'm in a kit collecting mode. Whenever I see a kit that I think I would like to build later on down the road I'll buy it and stash it in my "hidey-hole"!!!!

Plus, when I get ready to build I trace all of the parts out so that I can always cut one from scratch later on if I want to build another one down the road.
