RE: NEW CESSNA 182!!
I'm sorry if I made it sound like your 1.20FS was too much. I started out by saying that you made a good choice. I'll stand by that! I just continued on to relate my own experiences with a similar plane. Your's is heavier and has less wing area. If you haven't a lot of stick time with a scale plane, flown in a scale manner, then this is yet another good reason for having a bit more power than actually needed. As your skill level develops you will find that you need less power to fly it like it really should be flown. I have flown the full size and I enjoyed it very much. Not once did I entertain the notion that I could fly aerobatics with it. And, no......not once did I ever see any pilot fly the full size inverted. I believe that the pumped engine will give you comfort. Especially as this plane has a rather high wing loading and is not known as a glider.
I have a friend who flys a 1/4 scale Super Club with an O.S. 1.20. It flys extremely well and he does loops and sloppy rolls with it. I think that it weighs every bit as much as your 182, and just as big. The engine is a good choice here too.
So, relax and enjoy!!
