Uhh, yeah,,OK. It is possible that the kitchen space is just too small. Imagine a bubble of air, with the heli at the center, about 2 or 2 and a half times as big as the rotor disk. The air is swirling around in there pretty good. I experimented in a small kitchen with a Blade CX and could just barely hover it in there, and I know it would be disaster with the BCPP.
You don't need much more room, but a bit. I'd say 8x10 clear area is about minimum, just because of that swirling bubble of air.
Radd's, Radd's, Radd's.

Now the heli is an "eCCPM" helicopter which means the 3 servos that work the swashplate are mixed in the transmitter to give the correct motion. So if you can program your Futaba for heli eCCPM mix, you can use it, but I'm unfamiliar with that radio so I dont' know for sure. I'm using a SPektrum DX6 in mine.

And you can fix the wooden blades pretty easily, I've gotten many crashes, er, flights out of mine before they are too ugly to fly anymore.
