Default RE: not alot of choices for a .25

Btw, I fly a lot of .25 size combat planes and a few .25-.32 size sport planes. I know what you mean about a seeming lack of choices in that size. If you willing to build a kit, you could look at the house of balsa kits in that size. There also were several combat-oriented kits out there years ago. Though out of production they still show up once in a while on auction sites and swap meets. They usually fly very well when set up as sport planes.

About the Magnum .25, unless they've changed the engine (they are slowly redoing a lot of the Magnum line), or you have an old one, be aware that the carb has a tendancy to leak air around the o-rings in the high and low speed needle. I have a "how I make my Magnums run right" on my website at www.midatlanticcombat.com if you are interested. Most Magnums in the .15-.28 size range run great out of the box, but after a few hours of run time, they start getting flaky as the o-rings harden and loose their seal. Also be sure to locktite down everything. The Magnum .28 is a real shaker, though .25 is smoother, but I've still had plenty of carb parts fall off.

(fwiw, I have 2 Mag .25s, 3 .28s, and 5 .15s. The .25 and .28 use the same carb, the .15 uses the same carb design, just a bit smaller, and with a drawbar instead of screws to mount it).
