Default Phenom Assembly

the other day I finally cleared off the bench and got the Phenom for assembly.

The manual has about 16 pages with photos and in English!

started with cuttin the slots for the wing spars. Wings and fuse have a scribed lines to mark location of the spars. Drilled a series of 3/32 holes and took a dremel to make a slot the filed the edge of the slot flush to the formers in the fuse and wing.

Next I cut the tank opening for the 8 oz Jett bubbless tank. Tank and line end up with interference with the throttle servo pocket. Oakdale OK'd my request to cut new servo pocket. Layout and cut the new pcket and find a former about 3/4" down . Hmmm a standard servo is going to stick up too haigh and hit the pipe! Reduce the pocket size and use a Hitec HS-81 miniservo. Grind a bit on the cowl rails to get the Dub Jett .60LX FIRE to sit nice and mock-up for the engine & pipe over the tank and servo. I will use a straight headder...A trip to the LHS .
