RE: Edge540 26cc
No, not yet. I am doing some major beefing up to the fire wall and landing gear. Should be done today and I can go back to the field Thursday. At the 140mm range the edge is to tail heavy. I am guessing around 125mm is close to right. My engine was running way rich, so to say the least rich and tail heavy I did not btring her down low. From what little flight time I have had (about 3 flight,) she seems to hover as easy as any. Reminds me alot of the segull harrier. Handals wind well and is a floater. Landing gear area is very weak. If you have not looked close at it you better add some support there. Also the fire wall will give away because it is jig locked and the glue is all that holds the bottom plate on. Expoxy and triangle stock will take care of it. As far as the 26. I personally think it will be ok after a good break in, but if I had it to do over and seeing how she floates I would have went with the 40cc. I bought a 40cc from peak to go on a Super Star. The SS has less wing area and I think the 26 would be just right for it, So I am thnking of a switch. But before I do it I am going to fly the edge several time with the 26 just to make sure. I will report. Thanks!
