Landing in G2 is quite realistic. Some of the planes, like Estra Special, require very gentle landings, or the landing gear breaks.

After flying on G2 for a year (while building my first plane, which eventually turned out to be the third plane I flew), I soloed on my 2nd flight. Everything was like in G2, except for pesky prairy dogs crossing the runway.
