Hey Phil,
Tell you what,I'm getting tired of seeing this thing just sittin in the garage..Looks nice and still in one peice,of course it hasn't left the garage yet..The weather has really been a bummer here. When it's not raining the wind is blowing 30..Just not flying weather at all.Not for me anyway. You can bet the first chance I get I'll be there.

On the positioning of the engine. I had intended to put the OS 61 SF in it and did at first.Ran fine up and down the street but when I was satified enough to put the cowl on, the engine was just too big to fit without butchering the cowl really bad. This particular engine is not made anymore but it was brand new but the thing was gigantic and weighed a lot. I tried different positioning of the engine and found out why they put it angled. The muffler was banging the side due to the sizable firewall and fuse. It did work sideways with a pitts style muffler and I really like it's looks but didn't want to cut the cowling to shreds..In the end I put the same thing you got in it.OS704S.Didn't have to cut the cowling near as much and it just fit a lot better. I ordered another cowl and it's installed and everything is ready to go as soon as the weather is standble.Sure lookin forward to our first flyable weather in weeks.
Keep me posted and let me know how yours goes..After all the negs on this plane I'm really curious as to what it's gonna do or not do..
Thanx...Walt
