Default Crooked fuselage

I'm building a 4*40 kit, (my third kit project) and I am concerned about warp-age in the fuselage sides.

I have rubber-banded the fuselage sides and formers together but have not yet applied any glue. Both sides have a distinct warp to one side at the tail end, (maybe 5/16" to 3/8" inch). The warp starts just behind the next to last former. Should I just be very careful to hold things tight when applying the glue? Or is there a trick I can use to try to get the sides to straighten out in the relaxed state?

Any advice here is appreciated.
