RE: PKC cutting service
Got the kit today from Larry at PCK. Also the plans from Hostetler and the landing gear, fiberglass parts are on their way.
I was very pleased to see the quality of the parts and cutting in PCK kit. Have not looked at all the parts but I just hope they are better than the laser cut kit from Arizona model kit cutters. Arizona's cutting was crisp but they are done in Mexico and the person in charge of quality control needs some more training. There are a number of formers that all call for 1/4" stock and one of the formers is cut 3/16 no biggie, there are parts missing, parts that have no place to go even some parts with no numbers. The ply wood they use is real cheap and it will warp with temp changes, but it is light!! Other than that i guess it is a o.k. kit, However I would not recommend anyone send them something to be cut as it may turn out like my short kit. I can tell just by looking at the wood that Larry at PCK uses the he takes pride in his product. And you know what....it was not a zillion dollars more than the cheap wood Arizona uses. I just think Larry at PCK is out to make a profit( which is NOT a dirty word)and put out a product that he can be proud of.
I'll post again after I get a chance to look at everything in the PCK kit.
